This site was created to provide a new, up to date gathering place for Starband users. It's an alternative to the old, now largely abandoned, www.starbandusers.com.  We are not quite sure what happened to Ken Knight, the owner of the old site.  Rumor is that personal projects and life have taken him in other directions and we certainly wish him well.  The old site was great in it's time but as a member with over 3000 posts at the old site, I thought it was time to resurrect from it's ashes a new, more up to date presence on the web for users of Starband's satellite internet service.

Please forgive and bear with us as we develop and tweak this site into whatever form it's members want.  We welcome any input to that end.  For now, the forums are ready and available.  Over the course of the next few weeks we hope to bring shape to the front end of the site, welcome new members, enable the submission of articles, photos from members, and a file and software section that hopefully will be useful to Starband users. Consider the site still under construction for the next month or two as we finalize the structure and apperance.  In the mean time we encourage you to join and contribute. Many areas and priviledges are only accessible to members and joining is free so don't hesitate jumping in.
