360 software refuses to uninstall

Hi, just got a new Nova 1000, but first thing I'm supposed to do is uninstall the 360 software, and I keep getting this error:
dne execution error while installing dne
return code:2147024894

I tried reinstalling the program, but it first has to uninstall what is there, but of course, just gives me the error.
A search online has been no help.

Any suggestions?

Also, never received this email:
"1.2 What You Will Need
To insure a smooth installation, please make sure you have the following information available:
· Your assigned static IP address (if applicable) along with the required Domain Name Server (DNS) and Gateway IP
addresses
Note: If you did not receive an e-mail with this information, please contact Customer Support at 1-800-295-4315."

Do I need this before installation?

I don't run windows so I can't speak to your windows uninstall problems, but the 1000 really doesn't need any special software to run...just a normal ethernet connection either direct to the modem or through a router (better choice). The 1000 will get it's IP and DNS automatically from SB. The modem IP is 192.168.1.1 so if using a router, change its IP to 192.168.2.1 so that they won't fight.

Try running the uninstall as Administrator.

I never set my computer up with an administrator, I have full access.

Go to Search on start tab, files or folders, click on all files or folders and then search for StarBand and/or Spacenet. What ever you find delete one line at a time if you have to. I have had to do this several times over the years.
